Hi there, I'm Jen! I'm a natural light photographer and owner of Mockingbird Photo Co. As a mama of three little ones myself, I know how absolutely wonderful (and intense) this season of life can be so I strive to take all the stress associated with a photo session off of parents.
It starts with offering a pre-session wardrobe consult and/or complimentary access to my gorgeous client closet. I also have plenty of outfits, wraps and small props for babies and small children. I guide you and your little ones through a variety of natural "cuddly" poses that to showcase your love. During the session we will laugh, trade mom stories, and by the end of the session we will feel like old friends. My favourite thing about being a photographer is seeing the same families every year and watching your kiddos grow up!

I'm originally from Thunder Bay but have called Winnipeg home since 2007. I work full time as an environmental scientist for a large engineering firm in addition to running my dream business, Mockingbird Photo Co. I miss the forests and lakes of my hometown, but the wide-open spaces of the Prairies really inspire me creatively. I love growing veggies and flowers in my yard, interior design, trips to Target, travelling with my pilot hubby, Miss Vickies chips, and being a mom (is it wrong I listed my kids after Miss Vickies? LOL!) I have three littles ages 6, 8 and 12 and a mischevious frenchie named Hazel. Our house is loud, fun, exhausting and wonderful all at the same time.
